Director of Corporate Marketing Alliances [ Job ID# 6 ]

Description: This position may be located anywhere in the United States.

Function:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Partnerships and Alliances, the Director of Corporate Marketing Alliances will utilize business development skills and experience to expand and enhance the corporate marketing opportunities for Heifer International. The Director will have revenue generation responsibilities and will cultivate relationship with key internal and external stakeholders and will manage, coach and train staff members.

Responsibilities:

Following strategic plan and budget constraints, leads a team in the development and management of corporate partnership consumer fundraising programs, creating marketing concepts, delivering pitches, and securing relationships which generate resources for Heifer Project International (HPI) such as funding, awareness, educational resources and increased program capacity. Corporate Marketing programs include, sponsorships, cause-related marketing, employee engagement, corporate philanthropy and other corporate social responsibility platforms and campaigns. Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with appropriate corporate partners, while ensuring farmer benefit remains top priority. Develops and maintains working relationships with senior management and executives representing major national corporations. Works with other internal marketing teams to develop partnership programs and campaigns. Manages a team and is responsible for strategic planning, creating corporate marketing concepts, selecting, managing, coaching, leading, developing his/her direct and indirect reports and retaining the high performing staff under his/her scope of work and authority. Evaluate current programs according to sales performance, revenue generated, positive and widespread media exposure and benefits to partner to determine success and future potential. Prepare tracking, statistical and analysis reports on corporate revenue performance. Manage relationships between the corporate partners and HPI; the partner and its external consumers; the partner and the Heifer's regional offices; and the various entities within Heifer. Meets or exceeds annual fundraising targets as set by the Senior Director of Global Partnerships and Alliances. Develop presentations for and actively participate in corporate pitches, national meetings and seminars (e.g. leadership conference, national conference, marketing and development conference, etc.). Evaluate fund-raising proposals from potential corporate partners for adherence to HPI guidelines and Council of Better Business Bureau standards. May perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing or other related field plus ten (10) years of related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred. Seasoned cause marketer with at least five years of experience developing and implementing consumer fundraising programs Success with campaigns that raised revenue in excess of $2 million per year Most Critical Proficiencies:

Essential Job Functions and Physical Demands:

Experience in training and/or group facilitation. Proven communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and work cooperatively with a diverse staff. Constant face-to-face, telephone and electronic communication with colleagues and the general public. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to conflicting deadlines and priorities. Ability to work independently or with a team and perform multiple tasks with occasional interruptions. Ability to confidently give presentations and impromptu speeches to a wide range of audiences, including board members, executive members, local to international media. Ability to motivate team members and coordinate work with multidisciplinary teams. May require constant sitting and moving; working at a computer for extended periods of time, as well as occasional bending and lifting. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours to accommodate customers in different time zones.
